What Epitalon is: the AEDG tetrapeptide

With four amino acids Epitalon is one of the shortest peptides in our range. Short peptides of this kind are easy to synthesise and easy to characterise by mass spectrometry, because the expected mass is small and exact. Most of the published work comes from the gerontology group in St. Petersburg around Vladimir Khavinson, which also coined the name. The spellings Epitalon and Epithalon refer to the same molecule.
